Immersing herself in design, she scored a competitive internship in New York and traveled to Southeast Asia to explore clothing factories and fabric markets. Laken's drive and ingenuity, paired with UA's unmatched opportunities, stitched together a stylish future for this Mountain Brook native.
Motivated by his drive to be a doctor, Yonathan Janka came to The University of Alabama with medical school in sight. With UA's unparalleled support, he dove into undergraduate research, mentored younger students and landed prestigious summer internships at Harvard, Penn and Yale. With each step, Yonathan is getting closer to his dream while making a positive impact on the world.
As a first-generation college student from Tuscaloosa, Brodie Alexander chose UA for its innovative labs and commitment to hands-on learning. His interest in engineering and robotics connected him with faculty who support his bold ambitions. Now continuing with a graduate degree, Brodie credits UA's supportive community and research opportunities with propelling his career.
